Buellton Bike Day

Oak Valley Elementary School is hosting its first Buellton Bike Day!

At least 10 VOLUNTEERS are needed: Please sign-up at the bottom of this page if you are committed to help or get in touch with Education Director. You will receive a follow-up email with instructions.

Students are going to learn about ABC Quick check, helmet fitting and practice safe riding skills with some fun exercises on the blacktop.

3rd, 4th and 5th graders, please bring:

    • A helmet and a bike in working condition. Please go over the Bicycle Safety Checklist before Thursday, May 10th. Be ready to have fun and dress for a bike ride: no flip flops or baggy pant legs that can get caught in the chain! 

Timeline:

* 8:00am: Leave your bike and helmet in the section for your grade level.

* 8:45-9:15am: Grades 3-5 assembly

* 9:30-10:00am: Grade 3 bike day on blacktop

* 10:15-10:45am: Grade 4 bike day on blacktop

* 10:45-11:30am: Grade 5 bike day on blacktop
