Thinking of riding a bike around town?
SBBIKE COMMUNITY BIKE RIDES (Age 16+)
Take the plunge and join the welcoming and friendly SBBIKE Community Bike Rides posted on the calendar of the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition and led by certified League Cycling Instructors (LCIs). They are educational, fun and free for all current SBBIKE members.
On the 3rd Tuesday of the month, the group will go for a casual ride starting at different locations on the South Coast. The one hour ride will emphasize one key skill. All participants should be able to ride a bike safely with the ability to brake, change gears, and balance while stopping and starting at all stop signs & traffic lights. SBBIKE Community Bike Rides are no-drop rides meaning that nobody is left behind.
- Your bicycle, in good running order and don't forget your helmet.
- A set of night lights (white in the front, red in the back)
- All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian.
Meet downtown Santa Barbara, at De La Guerra Plaza in front of City Hall at 5:15pm. Depart at 5:30pm and return by 6:30-6:45pm.
Will be posted each month. Check the SBBIKE calendar for all last minute details.
