Combining Forces
For more than a decade, the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition (SBBIKE) has worked cooperatively with COAST (Coalition for Sustainable Transportation) in the public schools of Santa Barbara, Goleta and Carpinteria. Our two non-profit organizations have shared licensed instructors (LCIs) teaching the same curriculum from the League of American Bicyclists, trailers loaded with fleets of youth bicycles and a truck while operating in local schools under separate contracts.
